The 034Motorsport S34 Carbon Fiber Intake System is a high-performance solution for the turbocharged 2.0T EA888.2 engine found in B8/B8.5 Audi A4, A5, and Allroad models. Engineered for enthusiasts, the S34 Intake delivers measurable horsepower and torque gains, enhanced induction and turbo sounds, and a premium carbon fiber heat shield to protect intake air from hot engine bay temperatures.
Optimized Open-Airbox Design
Developed through extensive modeling, prototyping, and testing, the S34 Intake uses a partially open-airbox that channels cool, outside air from the factory fresh air duct. The large airbox houses a massive 4" conical air filter, free of restrictive shrouding, ensuring maximum airflow while maintaining OEM-level filtration. Air flows smoothly through a CFD-optimized 4-ply silicone inlet hose that efficiently delivers it to the throttle body.
Minimizing Restrictive Filter Shrouding
High-performance airflow depends on air freely surrounding and entering the filter. Many aftermarket intakes use oversized filters in undersized enclosures, restricting airflow. The S34 Intake carefully balances filter size and enclosure volume to maximize airflow while preserving filtration efficiency, resulting in a system that flows freely without compromise.
Maximizing Airflow
034Motorsport engineers designed a CFD-optimized 4-ply silicone intake tube to replace the factory accordion/sound-deadening hose. Using CAD and 3D scanning, the intake tube is precisely shaped to maximize airflow while fitting perfectly within the factory space, creating smooth transitions that improve throttle response and overall engine performance.
Performance Air Filter
The S34 Intake includes a high-flow 4" conical pleated cotton air filter capable of trapping particles as small as 5 microns. The filter’s large surface area ensures minimal restriction even in builds exceeding 650 HP. Unlike many aftermarket designs, the filter is fully supported to prevent movement while allowing compliance for engine movement, and features a fixed air shroud that won’t rub on other engine components.
