A critical factor in high-flow performance is ensuring unrestricted airflow around and through the air filter. Many aftermarket intakes use oversized filters in enclosures that cannot accommodate them, resulting in reduced airflow. To prevent this, 034Motorsport thoroughly tested and refined the intake design to maximize airflow surrounding the filter while maintaining OEM-level filtration, achieving the ideal balance of performance and reliability.
The result is the Fiber Full Intake System, a comprehensive performance upgrade for the twin-turbo 2.9 TFSI engine in the latest-generation B9 Audi RS5. This system delivers measurable horsepower and torque gains, enhanced induction and turbocharger sounds, and an elegant carbon fiber airbox and inlet pipe design.
The X34 Carbon Fiber Full Intake System features a partially-enclosed airbox that utilizes the factory fresh air duct and heat shield while housing a massive 5-inch conical air filter. Air is guided through a CFD-optimized carbon fiber filter tube, ensuring smooth, high-velocity airflow to the throttle body. Developed entirely in-house by 034Motorsport’s engineering team, the system offers OEM+ fitment for both left- and right-hand drive configurations.
Constructed from high-quality carbon fiber with a high-gloss epoxy finish, the intake includes a reinforced metal inner ring at clamp points for durability. The result is improved throttle response, reduced intake temperatures, and dyno-proven increases in horsepower and torque. Installation is straightforward, using factory mounting grommets for a secure, hassle-free fit.
