The 034Motorsport X34 Carbon Fiber Intake for the B8 and B8.5 Audi S4/S5 3.0 TFSI supercharged engine is a fully developed performance upgrade designed to deliver noticeable gains in horsepower and torque, enhanced induction sound, and an aggressive supercharger whine. It also features a carbon fiber heat shield to block hot engine bay air, ensuring cooler intake temperatures.
Throughout its development, multiple designs were carefully modeled, prototyped, and tested to achieve precise fitment and optimal performance. The final design incorporates an open-airbox layout that uses the factory fresh air duct to direct cool outside air to the filter. This configuration accommodates a large 4" conical air filter without restrictive shrouding and routes air through a CFD-optimized 4-ply silicone inlet hose, maintaining smooth airflow and maximizing velocity to the throttle body.
